The Minor league draft begins Fri Feb 13 at 8:00AM. Before making a pick please check the Roster Spreadsheet "Prospect" section to avoid selecting a prospect that's already taken. www.editgrid.com/user/jqf1501/The_Perfect_Game_RostersMake sure that the player you select has Less than 130 AB's or less than 50 IP's. The draft order is listed in the "2009 Prospect Draft" thread. according to rounds When making a pick, Please List the players First and last name, Position and Organization to avoid confusion( there are players that have the same or similar names). For Example: Joe Blow 3B - Min. You have 24hrs to make your Selection. After 24hrs has elapsed and you have not made a selection, the next Owner in line may select. The skipped Owner may make his selection anytime afterward. If the skipped owner's next pick comes up and he still has not made up his previous selection, he will automatically be skipped. Again, he can make up his picks any time afterward. To move things along, as a courtesy, I ask that you PM the next owner in the draft order to let him know he is on the clock(OTC), after you make your selection. It is still everyones responsibility to check the progress of the draft at least 1-2 times a day if not more. If you make an illegal pick, the selection will be voided and the next owner in line gets to pick. You can make your legal pick at any time afterward. Once made, your selection is final.

Thanks for the post. Also if we're going to be unavailable for an extended period of time, can we PM you our draft selection so the draft continues to move forward?

Thanks for the post. Also if we're going to be unavailable for an extended period of time, can we PM you our draft selection so the draft continues to move forward? Send an email to Ryan Express, Ron Mexico, Maoris and Los Jankees. One of us will then post your pick.

Hey guys, I know the draft doesn't start until Friday, but I have number one and I'm more than willing to post my pick if you want to unlock the thread, maybe get a small head start on the start of the draft.

The thread is unlocked if you want to make your pick but if anyone's pick comes up before Friday there is no deadline to get your pick in until after the draft officially starts.
I'm ready at #2 after you post Vegas.

Is it 24 hr limit or 12. I originally posted 24 when answering a question and then you posted 12 in another thread. So I then changed my post to 12.
Which is it? The rules say 24.

I think it is 12 with a dead period from 12am - 8am ET or something like that. Not sure exactly but I'm sure someone remembers.

I posted 12 by mistake, the rules say 24, we have plenty of time before the season starts. We'll be twittling our thumbs waiting for the season to start once the draft ends, so I say don't rush it.

Whatever you want, I'll go with it. I say we go with 24hrs. My reason being, The first year we had to draft full minor league rosters and it took longer. Most of us have 1/2 our minor league rosters already filled so it won't take as long. Since we are starting the draft earlier there's no need to rush it.

Guys can we still drop minors off our roster for a later round pick?

From the last draft, as long as you have space, you can draft. So trade, promotions, waivers --- that opens up space, I think that's fine. I think we should make you set up before eah round starts though so everyone knows how the round stands.

So If I have 2 guys I want to drop, anounce now? Then I would have picks in round 2 & 3?

That is exactly how I wanted to do it. I was just about to post the same thing Jankees. Fellers, in your case you will have to remove a player from your minor league roster before the first pick in the 2nd round in made if you want to have a pick in that round.
Is everyone okay with this.

I basically did the same thing, I think it's a fine idea. I know we set a date for declaring your major league roster, but I didn't hear anything about finalizing your minor leaguers before the draft. I guess the only issue would be if someone dropped a player that someone before him would have wanted to draft, but I can't see that being an issue. They're being dropped for a reason, anyways.

Im ok with this, but next season I propose Minor League Rosters are set before the draft for the exact reasons as the commotion stated.

That's a good point commotion. I hadn't considered that. I guess we will see how this draft goes to see if it will become an issue.

The only issue I see is guys dropping players at the last minute before we have a chance to make changes to the draft order.
