No surprises so far.

Maybe Wallace at #2 ahead of Alvarez, but not a big surprise for a Cardinal Homer.

I was hoping to get Wallace. Then again, I wasn't expecting Alvarez to fall to me.
Win/win!

Win/Win for me as well.
I get a great prospect and the added bonus of him playing for the Cardinals.

Come on, Mexico....

There's the first HUGE surprise... Jose Ceda in round 1, pick #5?? WOW
Ceda has nice upside, probably could've got him in the 4-6th rounds. Lindstrom is a young closer who looked very promising after being inserted in the role last year.

Mexico must have insider information on Ceda.

Hah. When I saw the Gordon Beckham selection, I forgot that Tim had been taken. I was like "...Did he mean Tim? Did Gordon Beckham go before Tim Beckham?!"

Did you get the guy you wanted Jankees?

Of course. Close to the majors MI w/pop who sort of looks like a Youngblood-era Patrick Swayze --- what's not to like?

I wish I had the 9th pick because I really wanted Stanton. Now I have no idea who to draft.

Yeah OF probably wasn't my biggest need, but I couldn't pass on the potential and upside that Stanton brings. The guy is a MASHER and only 19 yrs old!!

I will be out of town this weekend and will do my best to keep posted on the draft. If it comes back around to me I will draft as quickly as possible. I apologize if there is any wait.

Saluki email a few picks to one of the members if you're going to be gone. That should keep things moving smoothly. Or trade your 2nd rounder to me:-)
Ryan Express, funny you went with Holland because it was Stanton and Holland I was tore between, with Holland probably being more of a need. I just always have a hard time taking potential great arms over potential superstar sluggers.

Big Wood, I would rather be in your position with Stanton even with Maybin and Snider on my roster already. He is going to mash. Holland is a decent consolation though.

Dominic Brown? Maybe I don't know much about minor leaguers, but my list has him in the mid-100s.

How did he draft Josh Fields? He played 100 games in 07. Isn't he ineligible?

How did he draft Josh Fields? He played 100 games in 07. Isn't he ineligible? I didn't draft the Josh Fields that plays 3B for the White Sox - I drafted the Josh Fields that's a relief pitcher for the Mariners. He was picked in the first round of the amateur draft in 2008 and finally signed with the Mariners this past week.

I was eyeing Fields, but didn't notice he signed recently. Good pick.
